black folks's every four year journey.

This is a very frustrating and dangerous game we play as a people.Every four years,we stand in lines throughout this country and ,instinctively and blindly,the majority of us go to the polls and vote for a presidential candidate.Most of us have no idea who this person is or what this person is about;The only thing we know for sure is that the republcans hate our guts and we do not want one of them in......So,we vote for a democrat,we go home and wait for the results.If the republicans decided not to steal that election and the candidate of our choice won,we go home and consider our job done until four years later.........
It would not be such a frustrating practice if this was happening by accident.This practice is being encouraged by our elected officials(Black or otherwise),our preachers and each other.i am constantly calling elected officials to voice my opinion on matters of concern to me.When I suggest to other black folks to do the same,I never get a feel that it's a good idea..
About a month ago,the reason for this dillema became somewhat clear.......Al Sharpton was on the radio telling his audience that it is not a good thing to be political.What in the world is a black man(especially Al who is all political)doing telling other black folks not to be political?The answer may lie in the fact that preachers like him need us to keep coming back to their houses of superstition and give them our monies.....Preachers all over the country are doing the same....>We can only become political when they tell us it's ok and only if they are leading the march.......
So,for four years in between elections,we go to churches to beg a dead white man's ghost to help us with our problems and,when election time comes,we go and ask a live white man's ghost to supplement that help.The latter might as well be a ghost because most of us never get a chance to see him anyways.>>>>>>
Please,if anyone cares to.......,can you explain to me how a sane black person who knows how much the republicans hate him or her,can justify going around practicing the same ideology (christianity)that they practice and not feel somewhat insane?
